Mark
Mark Cecil lost his Dad in 2021 after a battle with Dementia. He started the Remembering Dad Podcast with his friend to discuss their respective losses and speak to guests about their experiences in hope that by people sharing their stories and memories of their loved ones who have passed it may help others that have gone through or are currently going through something similar. It is also a chance to bring awareness to a particular disease or illness. Mark wishes he had the foresight to record stories from his Dad before he started to lose his memory to watch now that he has passed away and be able to share with his kids, his Dad’s grandchildren and their future children. And from this, My Legacy Message was born.
Ryan
Ryan Thwaites lost both of his best friends at a young age. Paul died at the age of 21 due to a heart failure and Scott died ten years later at the age of 31 due to Melanoma and numerous secondary cancers. Ryan is a co-host of the Remembering Dad Podcast and shares a passion for speaking to those experiencing grief and how they are dealing with those emotions so that it may be of help to others.
